About me

Hello, my name is Kazue. I teach yoga to children, teens and adults. I am passionate about using yoga as a tool to improve mental and physical wellbeing.

I am from Japan and used to be an ESOL teacher there, teaching English to Japanese children. I loved singing songs, playing games and dancing with my students.

I have been in New Zealand for 20 years now and have attained Level 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care. I was a volunteer for Mainly Music in Mt Albert for ten years. I have so many great memories with children in this community.

Yoga has been a part of my life for quite some time. I suffered from depression and anxiety. Yoga helped me to go beyond whatever my life situation was. Through my personal practise I met so many great teachers. They have guided me towards who I am today. Now I feel it is my calling to help people through yoga and pass on its wisdom just like my great teachers did for me.

I became a qualified yoga teacher by completing 200 hours of teacher training and have been teaching adults ever since. I have also done 50 hours of teacher training for children and teenagers. I will continue taking professional development opportunities to advance my knowledge and deepen my practice.

I am a mother to a 12 year old girl and 8 year old boy. They practice yoga with me too!

Many blessings

Kazue
